Performance Evaluation of Fishery Enterprises Using Data Envelopment Analysis—A Malmquist Model

In Vietnam, fishing is a crucial source of nutrition and employment, which not only affects the development domestic economy but also closely related to exports, heavily influencing foreign exchange. However, Vietnamese fishery sector has been facing many challenges in innovating production technology, improving product quality, expanding markets. Hence, enterprises need find solutions increase labor productivity enhance competitiveness while minimizing difficulties. This study implemented performance evaluation from 2015 2018 17 businesses, decision making units (DMUs), Vietnam by applying data envelopment analysis, namely Malmquist model. The objective paper provide general overview through technical efficiency, technological progress, total factor four-year period. variables used model include assets, equity, liabilities, cost sales, revenue, profit. results show that Investment Commerce Fisheries Corporation (DMU10) Hoang Long Group (DMU8) exhibited best performances. offers valuable reference improve business efficiency could be useful for industries.
